Ponca City Man Injured in Accident in Osage County Friday Evening

Osage County-

An injury collision occurred on Friday December 24th at approximately 6:17 pm on State Highway 11 just north of County Road 2460, approximately 2 miles north of Barnsdall, in Osage County.

A 2001 Dodge Ram, driven by Dalton Vogele, age 22, of Ponca City, was traveling eastbound on State Highway 11, towing a horse trailer. The vehicle departed the roadway to the right, where the horse trailer became detached from the vehicle. The driver then overcorrected to the left, departing the roadway to the left, rolling 1 ½ times, coming to rest on its top, landing on barbed wire fence.

Vogele was transported by Miller EMS to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma and  admitted in fair condition due to internal trunk injuries.

Troopers report an odor of alcohol and attribute the accident to inattention.

The accident was investigated by Trooper Littlesun of the Osage/Pawnee County Detachment of Troop K. Assisted by Trooper Regnier , Osage County Sheriff’s Office, Barnsdall Police Department, and Miller EMS assisted.
