Ponca City man injured in accident

From the Oklahoma Highway Patrol

 

Personal injury collision occurred 11/26/16 at 1220 hours at the intersection of CR 1060 and Osage Road,

which is four miles north and five and one half mile east of Renfrow, Oklahoma in Grant County.

 

Vehicle – 1:  2013 Lincoln Navigator driven by James Hubert Tickel (SIC) white male, age 59, of

Blackwell, Oklahoma. Transported by Medford EMS to Blackwell Hospital in Blackwell, Oklahoma.

 

Treated and released.

 

Passenger – 1:  Cynthia Jane Tickel (SIC) white female, age 60, of Blackwell, Oklahoma. Transported

by Medford EMS to Blackwell Hospital in Blackwell, Oklahoma. Treated and released.

 

Vehicle – 2:  2006 Ford F350 pickup truck driven by Jason Stewart Cales (SIC) white male, age 36, of

Ponca City, Oklahoma. Transported by Caldwell EMS to Caldwelll, Kansas hospital and then

medi-flighted to Wesley Regional Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.  Admitted for head, trunk external,

and arm injuries. Listed in stable condition.

 

Passengers – None

 

What Happened:  Vehicle one was southbound on (County Road) CR 1060.  Vehicle two was

eastbound on Osage Road. Vehicle one failed to yield to vehicle two at an uncontrolled intersection.

Vehicle two struck vehicle one at the intersection in the passenger side. Both vehicles came to

rest southeast of the intersection.

 

Condition of Driver Vehicle – 1 – Apparently normal

Condition of Driver Vehicle – 2 – Apparently normal

Cause of Collision – Fail to yield to vehicle on the right

 

Seatbelts – Equipped in Vehicle one – in use.  Airbags deployed

Equipped in Vehicle two – not in use.  Airbags did not deploy

Weather  –  Clear

Roadway – 2 Lane – dirt

Pinned   –   No

Ejected  –   No
