Ponca City Lights New Christmas Tree

Ponca City Now - November 25, 2013 6:42 am

The Ponca City City Commissioners invite you to bundle up and come watch the new tree be lit.

They will have a lighting ceremony tonight at 6:30.

The city commission bought a brand new 36-foot Christmas tree that is adorned with 24,000 LED lights.

Craig Stephenson, city manager said there will be entertainment and refreshments.

“We’ll provide cookies and coffee, we will serve that," Stephenson said. "Then the Po-Hi chorale will be here and they will sing a little bit for us before we have the official lighting.”

They invite everyone out to the centennial plaza to kick off the holiday season.

The City Commissioners meeting will be held directly prior to the lighting at 5:30.
