The Ponca City Development Authority (PCDA) has emerged as a shining star on the economic development stage, securing four prestigious gold awards from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). In recognition of its exemplary efforts, PCDA has been honored for its outstanding contributions in talent development and retention, partnerships in education, business retention and expansion, as well as innovative programs and initiatives. Additionally, the organization secured two silver awards for fostering economic equity and inclusion and its pivotal role in the neighborhood development scene.

The International Economic Development Council is renowned for recognizing excellence in economic development across the globe, and PCDA has undeniably earned its place in the limelight with these remarkable achievements.

Gold Awards:

Wildcat Internship Program: Talent Development and Retention & Partnerships in Education

The Wildcat Internship Program, a partnership between Ponca City Public Schools and PCDA, has been celebrated with a gold award for its remarkable contributions to talent development and retention and for its instrumental role in nurturing local talent and bridging the gap between academia and industry. The program empowers students with practical experience, ensuring a seamless transition from classroom to career. PCDA’s dedication to nurturing homegrown talent has truly set a gold standard.

Shared Work Program: Business Retention and Expansion & Innovative Programs and Initiatives

PCDA’s Shared Work Program has also been honored with a gold award in two categories: Business Retention and Expansion, and Innovative Programs and Initiatives. This groundbreaking initiative has paved the way for industry in Ponca City to thrive, innovate, and expand while fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth and prosperity.

Hispanic Heritage Festival: Economic Equity and Inclusion

Ice on the Plaza: Neighborhood Development
