Ponca City Bond issues pass

Voters in Ponca City School District overwhelmingly approved two propositions for bond issues for transportation and school improvements Tuesday. The Kay County Election Board said unofficial returns show 2,013 votes for Proposition 1 and 440 votes against. The measure wins by 82.06 percent in favor. Proposition 2 passed with 2,135 yes votes and 371 no votes, or 85.20 percent. Bond issues must pass with a super majority of 60 percent.
