Polling places for county commissioner election

The election for County Commissioner seat no. 2 is today.

Polling places are open until 7 p.m.

The two candidates are Jason Shanks and Jim Thomas .

Both candidates are republicans.

The Kay County Election Board said they will begin counting votes at 7 tonight, starting with the absentee ballots.

They hope to have a tentative total by 8.

All counts will be tentative until Friday at 5 p.m.
