Police to conduct safety checkpoint next week

The Ponca City Police Department will be conducting a traffic safety check point next week.
Patrol Division Captain Earl Watkins will organize the effort to observe compliance in the areas of proper safety belt and child safety seat usage, vehicle insurance coverage and status of the driver’s license.
“The partnership and grant funding from the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office allows our Police Department to conduct safety checkpoints to ensure safe travel for our citizens and families in Ponca City” Watkins said.
