Police investigating Sunday stabbing

Police are investigating a stabbing that was reported just before 5 a.m. Sunday.

A 25-year-old male was stabbed in the neck at a residence in the 1100 block of North Ash Street. The victim was transported to Ponca City Alliance by someone at the scene. Eleven hours later,  following surgery, the victim was able to tell police what happened.

A search warrant was served on the residence of the suspect and additional evidence was seized.

Five adults were drinking and children ages 13, 11 and 1.5 year old were sleeping when the incident occurred. The investigation is continuing.
