TULSA, Okla. (AP) – Tulsa police are investigating after a body was found in the Arkansas River.
Officers were called Sunday morning to a downtown area near the Interstate 44 bridge after a fisherman spotted the body and called authorities.
Police Sgt. Patrick Stephens says the body appears to have been in the location it was found in for some time. And police said that because of the condition of the body, investigators aren’t certain if it was a male or female.
The body has been sent to the state medical examiner.
