Po-Hi’s BPA Chapter Earns Top State Awards and Ticket to Nationals

Ponca City High School´s BPA (Business Professionals of America) Chapter competed in the State Leadership Conference held on March 9 and 10, 2021. The Broadcast News Production Team composed of members Kaylee Wimberley (Senior, Chapter President), Brady Ladner (Senior), Ethan Meyer (Sophomore, Chapter Historian), and Haley Mills (Sophomore) placed 2nd in the state.

The Podcast Production Team composed of members Amanie Owdetallah (Sophomore, Chapter Treasurer), Karina Hernandez (Sophomore), and Tynli Nickell (Sophomore, Chapter Secretary) placed 3rd. Additionally, Kaylee Wimberley competed in a solo event, Financial Math Analysis, and placed 2nd.

The 2021 SLC Award Ceremony was held virtually on March 10, 2021. Ponca City BPA qualified for Nationals in all three events. This is the first time any of the current members have qualified for Nationals. Nationals will be held virtually April 26 through May 9, 2021.
