As part of the Po-Hi Student Council’s Centennial celebration, they brought back the retired tradition of Citizen of the Month and also added a new tradition of Teacher of the Month. Citizens of the Month for October are: Alonso Velazquez and Yessenia Aguilar. Teacher of the Month is Pierre Mazboudi.

Teachers nominate students throughout the month for this award and students nominate their favorite or most deserving teacher. At the end of the month, the boy, girl and teacher with the most nominations is honored. Honorees are awarded a certificate, a gift basket, and a special parking spot for the next month!
