Po-Hi Prom This Saturday at the Marland Mansion

The 2024 Ponca City High School prom will be held Saturday, April 20 at the Marland Mansion. The Grand March will begin at 6:00 pm. The theme of the 2024 Ponca City High School Prom is “A Night in Vegas.” The colors are black, white, and red.

In the event of inclement weather, the school will announce any change in plans by 3:00 pm Saturday. Parking inside the Mansion gates will be limited to students attending prom and prom security only.

PCHS appreciates Ponca City community members who come out to support the Grand March and the Marland Mansion for allowing them to use their estate.  Please do not reserve spots with blankets or tarps until the morning of prom. Anyone who reserves a spot early may lose it and have their blanket or tarp taken up.

Please remember to respect the mansion grounds by keeping your area clean. Those who attend the Grand March are asked not to cause students to pause for long periods of time for photos. Royalty will promenade last and the coronation will immediately follow. Please wait to leave your seat until coronation has ended.

The 2024 candidates for Ponca City High School Prince and Prince are Lily Post, Lorin Scott, Aranza Torres, Julian Estrada, Bo Kyler, and Cooper Leonard.

Lily Post is the daughter of Beth and Nick Post. Lily has been an Advanced Placement student all four years of high school. She is a member of the Ponca City High School Student Council, and is proud to be the president of Wildcat Theatre Company. Lily plans to attend Northwestern Oklahoma State University and pursue a career in special education. Lily is being escorted by Julian Estrada. Julian is the son of Krystal Veloz and Julio Estrada. Julian has been very active in music while at Ponca City High School. He was awarded the Louis Armstrong Outstanding Jazz Musician Award and was honored to be the Wildcat Marching Band drum major for two consecutive years. Julian plans to attend the University of Central Oklahoma and major in Music Education.

Lorin Scott is the daughter of Amber and Robert Scott. Lorin is the Po-Hi Stepper Captain, the Student Council Vice President, the National Honor Society Vice President, Wildcat Theatre Company Secretary, and Business Professionals of America Vice President. Lorin was a Po-Hi Cross Country Captain, serves as the Student Athlete Advisory Council Community Service Chair, and is a member of St Luke’s Youth Group and AIM Dance Studio. After graduation, she plans to attend Oklahoma State University to major in psychology for her undergraduate degree before pursuing a master’s degree in counseling. Lorin is being escorted by Cooper Leonard. Cooper is the son of Jake and Allison Leonard. Cooper is an honors student who participated in Wildcat varsity football and is a current member of the varsity track and field. He is a Po-Hi Student Council senior representative and is the senior class secretary. After graduation, Cooper plans to continue to participate in track and field in college while studying physical therapy.

Aranza Torres is the daughter of Patricia Lopez and Jose Torres. She participated in orchestra for three years, tennis for two years, and is currently a staff member of the Cat Tale Yearbook. She plans on attending community college and pursuing a degree in sonography. After this, she plans to become an RN and earn her midwifery degree. Aranza is being escorted by Bo Kyler. Bo is the son of Paul and Molly Kyler. Bo is the Student Council President and is a member of the Wildcat football team. After graduation, Bo plans to attend the University of Oklahoma.

The Senior class president is Lanie George. Lanie is the daughter of Jason and Lori George. Lanie is being escorted by Tanner Otto. Tanner is the son of Bonnie and Chad Otto.

The Senior class vice-president is Madelyn Blackstar. Madelyn is the daughter of Oliver and Holly Blackstar. Madelyn is being escorted by Harrison Poet. Harrison is the son of Craig and Becky Poet.

The Senior class secretary is Cooper Leonard. Cooper is the son of Allison and Jacob Leonard. Cooper is escorting Ava Roche. Ava is the daughter of James and Donna Roche.

The Junior class president is Natalie Mayer. Natalie is the daughter of Vitaly Shevkunov and Tanya Mayer. Natalie is being escorted by Ayden Stevenson. Ayden is the son of Kyle Stevenson and Sarah O’Rear.

The Junior class vice-president is Jenna Waggoner. Jenna is the daughter of Justin and Krystal Waggoner. Jenna is being escorted by Ridge Vernon. Ridge is the son of Kristi Connelly.

The Junior class secretary is Brylen Liberton. Brylen is the daughter of Eric and Erin Liberton. Brylen is being escorted by Dax Iraggi. Dax is the son of Kristal Hilton.

The Ponca City High School Student Council president is Bo Kyler. Bo is the son of Paul and Molly Kyler. Bo is escorting Karley Alvarez. Karley is the daughter of Juan and Haley Alvarez.

The Student Council vice president is Lorin Scott. Lorin is the daughter of Robert and Amber Scott. Lorin is being escorted by Dylan Nance. Dylan is the son of Kelly Nance.

The Student Council secretary is Addison Kyler. Addison is the daughter of Ross and Kalyn Kyler. Addison is being escorted by Giovanni Cervantes. Giovanni is the son of Jose Luis and Imelda Cervantes.

The Student Council treasurer is Katelyn Clark. Katelyn is the daughter of Jeff and Lynna Clark. Lynna is being escorted by Bodee West. Bodee is the son of Dee and Vicky West.

The Student Council Historian is Reed Jackson. Reed is the son of Scott and Ann Jackson. Reed is escorting Brynn Vincent. Brynn is the daughter of Bryan and Susie Vincent.

The prince and princess royalty will promenade as the finale of the Grand March. In an attempt to get students through the promenade in a timely fashion, we ask guests not to cause the students to pause for long periods of time for photos. The coronation will take place immediately following the Grand March, so please be courteous and wait until it concludes before you leave. Also, please remember to pick up your trash and place it in the receptacles provided.
