Po-Hi DECA members attend fall leadership conference

Ponca City DECA chapter officers recently attended the Oklahoma BPA-DECA Fall Leadership Conference at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center in Norman.

The six chapter officers attended various leadership and planning workshops to help improve their skills while leading their home chapter members.  The theme for the event was “Illuminate,” to bring intensity to all of their local chapter activities.

Also attending were Ponca City DECA’s state officers Brad Robinson and Ash Patel.  These two students serve on the Oklahoma DECA State Action Team to guide and direct the state of Oklahoma membership.

The mission of DECA is to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.  Local adviser is Heather Monks.
