Additional Information

Returning to Summer Band: Phase 1- June 17-July 15

The Ponca City High School Band program will implement a Voluntary – Phase 1 return to Summer Band beginning Wednesday, June 17, 2020 for grades 9-12. It is imperative that ALL BAND STUDENTS AND PARENTS/GUARDIANS are reminded that these rehearsals are VOLUNTARY and WILL NOT BE HELD AGAINST THE STUDENT if either they, or their parent/guardian, choose for them not to attend.

*The health and safety of our students and staff are our greatest priority. Please feel free to communicate any concerns to Instrumental Music Coordinator Paula Cochran ([email protected]), prior to return.

PONCA CITY HIGH SCHOOL – Summer Skills Sessions Guidelines

  1. ALL STUDENTS WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENT SIGNED BY THEIR PARENT/GUARDIAN (as reflected on Powerschool) BEFORE THEY ARE ALLOWED TO RETURN:

PCPS Voluntary Return to Rehearsal and Campus Waiver

Students will need to be dropped off/enter at the South side of the HS Fine Arts Building (the entrance off of Overbrook). Students will need to line up outside the South doors with intervals of 6 feet spacing between students. Band staff will be at the door to screen each student prior to entrance into the Fine Arts Building.

Students will be designated an assigned spot in a given rehearsal space. It is mandatory that students remain in their assigned spot for the duration of rehearsal in order to maintain spacing of social distancing guidelines.

WE WILL STRICTLY ENFORCE THE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES SET FORTH BY THE PCPS DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION FOR OUTSIDE RETURN.

Students will exit the building through the North doors of the Fine Arts Building. This is where they will need to be picked up.

Students will not be able to stay on campus after rehearsals. Rides will need to be arranged to pick students up at the exact end of scheduled rehearsals. Students will be permitted to wait for their rides in 6-foot intervals outside on the North side of the Fine Arts Building or on their assigned spot they occupied indoors during rehearsal.
