Po-Hi announces Top Ten Seniors for 2019

Ponca City Public Schools have announced the Top Ten seniors from the 2019 Po-Hi graduating class.

They are: Joshua Grant Fairbanks; Katherine Laine Parr; Shae Angelina Burden; Samantha Brooke Stobbe; Priyanshi Patel; Alyssa Storm Podurgiel; Jeffrey Paul Crossland; Hogan Donald Watts; Kathryne Lucky-Marie Cain; and Noah John Willis.

These are the students who have the highest (weighted), cumulative GPA’s of the senior class, freshmen through the first nine weeks of the second semester of their senior year.

The top two females are Shae Angelina Burden and Katherine Laine Parr. The top two males are Joshua Grant Fairbanks and Jeffrey Paul Crossland.

The group was honored at a Top Ten Tea recently, and Superintendent Shelley Arrott spoke to them saying in part, “Students, you are among the Top Ten students of your class of 295. You are among the elite of the Po-Hi Class of 2019. No doubt, your life will be defined by the decisions you make, and I have no doubt each of you will be defined by greatness.

“Big change is coming for each of you: new schools, new friends, and new adventures. You are on the verge of a thrilling time in your lives. Be ready for it and do not let others limit your ambitions. Use the great gifts you have been given to achieve your goals and use each day to become the person you truly want to be,” Arrott said.

“The characteristics of the Wildcat Way are lifelong tenants which will lead you on the pathway to success! Work Ethic, Improve, Leadership, Discipline, Compete, Attitude, Teamwork. Ponca City Public Schools wish you nothing but greatness for your future. We are proud of your accomplishments and we know that the actions you take will inspire many other students to prosper! Congratulations and best of luck to each of you!”
