Po-Hi 2019 Valedictorian and Salutatorians announced

The Ponca City Senior High School 2019 Graduating Class announces Joshua Grant Fairbanks as the Valedictorian and Shae Angelina Burden and Katherine Laine Parr as the Salutatorians.

Po-Hi graduation is at 8 p.m. Friday, May 17, at Sullins Stadium. Ceremonies will be held at Robson Fieldhouse in case of inclement weather.

Graduation will be live streamed again this year on the Ponca City Public Schools Facebook page for friends and family who are unable to attend.

Baccalaureate is at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 16, in Howell Auditorium.

Joshua Grant Fairbanks is the son of Jim and Mandy Fairbanks and the grandson of Grant and Deanna Hodges and Victor and Jeanette Fairbanks. He attends Northeast Baptist Church in Ponca City. He plans to attend Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa to major in Pre-Engineering and play soccer for the Mavericks. He plans to graduate with an Associate’s of Science Degree in Pre-Engineering and then attend Oklahoma State University to study Civil Engineering.

Shae Burden

Katherine Parr

Shae Angelina Burden is the daughter of Timothy and Jackie Burden and the granddaughter of Susan and Terri Burden, and Jim and Denise Killius. Shae is the oldest of three children. Her younger sisters are Jacey and Trinity Burden. She currently works at Taco Bell and has been working there since September of 2017. She plans to attend the University of Oklahoma to become an architect.

Katherine Laine Parr is the daughter of Stephen and Leanne Parr and the granddaughter of Beverly and the late Leland Smith as well as Patricia and the late Gary Parr.  Katie is the younger sister of 2017 Po-Hi graduate Matthew Parr.  Katie plans to further her education and dance career at Oklahoma State University and major in International Business/Pre-Law, eventually becoming a United States Legislator.
