Please Vote Yes on Tuesday for the school bond issue. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

This bond issue includes facility improvements, security for our schools, auditorium seating, technology, a new concert hall and improvements to our athletic facilities.

Important aspects of this bond package: Security of students is a top priority. Well maintained facilities for student learning. Continue to improve energy efficiency, so we have more funds for the classroom. Providing our students with the technology needed to succeed in today’s world. Our students will have fine art facilities and athletic facilities that are equal to Bartlesville, Stillwater, Sapulpa and Enid.

It’s important to remember the last major investment we made in athletic and fine arts facilities was in the 1970s. We have fallen behind in this area. It is also important to know that our athletic and fine arts facilities are the face of our school district and our community to the outside world.

This vote has no tax increase and does much to improve the lives of our students! Please remember by state law proceeds from bond issues can’t go for teacher salary or help to reduce class size. These issue have to be addressed through the Legislature. Again, by state law, bond issues can only be used for transportation, buildings, technology and textbooks.
