Pioneer Woman celebrates her 85th birthday

The Pioneer Woman Statue celebrated her 85th birthday this week, and celebrated with Ponca City. Shown are Robbin Davis reading a proclamation from Governor Fallin making today officially Pioneer Woman Monument Day in the State of Oklahoma, David Keathly reading a proclamation from the State Senate, and Vice Mayor Mary Beth Moore sharing a proclamation from the Mayor’s office commemorating this special 85th birthday celebration. Robbin Davis announce the establishment of a permanent fund for the Pioneer Woman Statue’s continuing care. In the crowd this afternoon were a few people who attended the unveiling of the statue on April 22nd, 1930
