Phillips 66 Greenbelt 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk/Run is May 16

The Phillips 66 1 mile Family Fun Run/Walk and 5K Run are set for Saturday, May 16.

Today is the last day to register in order to get a T-shirt.

Packet and T-shirt pickup will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 15, and 7 to 8 a.m. May 16 at the Fourth Street Clubhouse.

The 1M Family Fun Run/Walk will start at 8:30 a.m. May 16. The 5K Run begins at 9:15 a.m. and will be a timed event. Both events start at the Fourth Street Clubhouse.

Strollers are welcome for the 1M Family Run/Walk.

Prizes will be awarded for the top three in each age group and one prize for the overall winner in the Men’s & Women’s Divisions.

Parking is across the street, east of the Fourth Street Clubhouse.

The Run will start at the clubhouse, go through the Greenbelt trail, through Standing Bear Park and end back at the clubhouse.

After the run, stick around for snacks and activities.

The 5K run will only cost $10, as Phillips 66 will be picking up the majority of the cost to allow as many people as possible to run and get moving.

The 1M Family Run/Walk will be free to all who come out and there is no registration required. If 1M participants want a T-shirt, they can register online today with the 5K participants. Register here: http://bit.ly/1bhZZRj

Music will be provided by KPNC Team Radio. There will be face painting and activities for the kids. Water and snacks will be provided for participants.
