Personal injury collision in Pawnee County

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that a personal injury collision occurred about 10:12 p.m. Friday on south Peninsula Drive, about one-tenth of a mile west of Blacksmith Road, which is about half a mile south of Westport, OK in Pawnee County.

The patrol said the accident involved a 2005 Honda MC50 driven by Larry Wayne Hollingshead, 46, of Cleveland, OK. He was transported by Mercy EMS to Saint John hospital in Tulsa, OK in stable condition where he was admitted for trunk internal and head injuries.

The Highway Patrol’s report stated that Hollingshead’s vehicle departed the roadway to the right and impacted the edge of a private drive. The condition of the driver and the cause of the accident are both listed as driving under the influence.

Investigated by Trooper Romulus Gregory #430 of the Osage/Pawnee county detachment of Troop K. Assisted by the Pawnee County Sheriff’s office, Peninsula Fire Department and Mercy EMS.
