PCPD Receives New K-9, 2nd and 3rd Grade Students Will Help With Name

Ponca City, get ready to meet the newest addition to the Ponca City Police Department.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of Greenwood Aerospace the Ponca City Police Foundation, and AKC Unite, PCPD thrilled to announce the arrival of our newest Police K9.
This Short Haired German Pointer isn’t just any pup – he’s set to become our ultimate crime-fighting companion, trained in Illegal Drug Detection and Human Tracking.
But here’s the twist: the K9 needs a name, and PCPD is turning to the creative minds of Ponca City’s 2nd and 3rd graders to help them out.
Starting February 26th 2024, they’ll be distributing special coloring pages to all 2nd and 3rd graders across Ponca City. It’s a chance to be a part of history and help name their partner in justice.
