PCPD issues scam alert

Several local businesses and individuals have been contacted by phone today by a man saying he is with the City Utility Offices. The caller is asking for credit card information. He is telling the business or individual they are late on their payment and he is sending a technician to disconnect their power if they don’t pay over the phone.
No one from the City of Ponca City is making these phone calls. Police strongly discourage giving out credit card information to any one contacting you by phone.
