PCPD Completes internal review of shooting

The results of the internal / administrative review conducted within the Ponca City Police Department regarding the Officer involved shooting on December 21, 2016 which resulted in the death of 31 year old Ian Shea King, reveal that no policies were violated in the actions taken by the Officers.

Since the incident, the three officers have been on administrative leave.  The officers will return to their patrol duty assignments tomorrow.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was contacted the day of the shooting and provided their reports to District Attorney Brian Hermanson.  Hermanson notified Police Chief Don Bohon late Friday that he had cleared the officers and found the shooting to be justified.
