Over 80,000 Customers Regain Power as OG&E Continues Storm Repairs

KOKH - November 8, 2024 10:48 am

As of 7 a.m. on Friday, more than 80,000 customers’ power has been restored, which is more than 99% of those impacted.

Over 1,000 OG&E personnel have worked to repair the grid.

Crews are continuing to work on restorations for those affected by severe storms on Sunday and Monday.

Some customers may not be able to safely receive power, according to OG&E, and officials are working to partner with cities and towns to bring the lights back on as quickly as possible.

Officials report that 15 customers are still without power and will have service today as power poles and transmission structures are rebuilt.

A total of 406 distribution poles, 91 transmission poles, 179 transformers, and more than 1,000 cross-arms were utilized in the rebuild.

OG&E will bring the tree and brush debris to the curb, however, customers are responsible for removing that debris.

City and county resources for debris removal may be available and will vary by community.

Customers are asked to check with local officials for specific removal plans.

Visit the Storm Center for debris removal information.
