ST. LOUIS (AP) – University of Oklahoma gymnastics coach Mark Williams has been named coach for this summer’s men’s gymnastics team for the Rio Olympics

Williams has spent 17 years leading OU’s men’s gymnastics program, which collected its 10th national title this spring.

The five-member team was named over the weekend after the sport’s Olympic trials in St. Louis. Three OU alumni — Jake Dalton, Chris Brooks and Alex Naddour — are on the team.

Team members are getting this week off after the trials before they begin preparations for the games in Rio — first in California and then at the Olympic training center in Colorado.
