NORMAN, Okla. (AP) – Oklahoma guard Frank Booker has decided to transfer, the school said Wednesday.

Booker averaged 5.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists in 14.3 minutes per game as a sophomore this past season. Over the final 12 games, he averaged 6.8 points and shot 35.7 percent from 3-point range.

He scored a career-high 17 points in a Feb. 21 win at Texas Tech, 14 points in a Feb. 9 win over Iowa State and 12 points in the win over Dayton in the NCAA round of 32. He made 78 3-pointers in 64 games for the Sooners.

Booker, from Augusta, Georgia, said it was a tough decision, but he seeks a chance to play more and wants to move closer to home.
