OSU student wins Udall Scholarship

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) – An Oklahoma State University student has been named a Udall scholar, making her the winner of one of the country’s most prestigious undergraduate awards.á

Maeghan Murie of Cleveland, Okla., joins 14 former winners from the school who received the scholarship, which awards up to $5,000 annually to defray the cost of undergraduate education while honoring the legacies of Morris and Steward Udall.

Murie, a junior majoring in chemistry, biochemistry and molecular biology, was among 50 students selected this year from 464 applicants nationwide for the scholarship.
