One week ago today, a 36-year-old woman was gunned down inside her Cordell home. Her 14-year-old son was also wounded.

Resident Tammi Thomas died at the scene and her son was taken to an Oklahoma City hospital. He has since been released.

The Washita County Sheriff’s Office immediately called in OSBI special agents to help with the investigation. Agents have run a multitude of leads; however, agents have not yet identified a suspect.

OSBI agents do know they are searching for a man with a blunt force trauma injury to his right forearm. This injury occurred during a scuffle inside the home.

If anyone has knowledge of a man with such an injury that occurred about a week ago, please call the OSBI hotline at 1-800-522-8017.
