OSBI investigating Marland shooting death

Beverly Bryant - December 13, 2016 9:22 am

On Sunday afternoon, the Noble County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI investigative assistance with a homicide at 621 N. Antelope, Marland.

OSBI special agents spent the day collecting information and evidence.

It appears a man and woman who lived inside the home at that address got into a verbal altercation, which became physical. The woman shot the man.

Richard Lee Bryer, 40, died at the scene. The female was not arrested.

OSBI special agents will put together a written report containing all the information and evidence from the case and present it to the district attorney. The district attorney will determine if the shooting was in self defense.
