One Person Found Dead in House Fire in Ponca City, Foul Play Suspected

On July 31st, at 3:32 am the Ponca City 911 Center received a call of a structure fire in the 900 block of E. Maple Avenue. Ponca City Fire units and Ponca City Police units responded. At 3:42 am the Fire Department reported finding a person deceased in the residence. Foul play is suspected.
The Oklahoma State Fire Marshall and the State Medical Examiner were called and are assisting in the investigation.
The Kay County Sheriff’s Office, and The Bureau of Indian Affairs are also assisting, and the investigation is ongoing.
