STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) – A graduate from the Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences is a finalist for America’s Favorite Veterinarian.

Dr. Dustin Brown is one of 20 finalists for the honor. Brown earned his degree from OSU in 2005 and now owns and operates Animal Medical Center in Midwest City. One of his clients nominated him for the award, describing Brown as a caring veterinarian who knows his trade and does a great job with his patients and their "parents."

In addition to seeing his regular patients, Brown has been able to partner with rescue groups and foundations to help low income pet owners that need assistance when their pets need surgery.

Veterinary center Dean Dr. Jean Sander says having Brown on a national platform shows OSU’s program is top notch.
