Oklahoma Pardon & Parole Board Votes To Recommend Parole For ‘Crossbow Killer’

The Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board voted to recommend parole for a man known as the “crossbow killer.”

Jimmie Stohler was sentenced to life in prison for paying to have Michele Ruth killed. Ruth was shot in the chest with a poisoned crossbow bolt in 1982.

Stohler was previously recommended for parole back in 2013, but it was denied by then governor, Mary Fallin.

Ruth’s twin sister says she worries for her safety if Stohler is released from prison.

Governor Kevin Stitt will have the final say.
