Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office Identified Person Found Dead in the Ranch Drive Area

UPDATE:
On August 14, 2024 at 12:40 pm the Kay County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office and the unidentified deceased person found in the Ranch Drive area on August 1st, 2024, has been identified as Sylvia Gomez (26 yrs old). The M.E.’s Office confirmed the identity by using dental records and tattoo comparisons. The cause of the death is still under investigation, pending further examination from the M.E.
The Kay County Sheriff’s Office is currently working alongside the BIA Investigations Unit, Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, OSBI and the Ponca City Police Dept. If anyone has information that may help with this case, please contact the Kay County Sheriff’s Office at 580-362-3250.
