OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin has released her initiative’s final report as chair of the National Governors Association.

Fallin released the report, titled An Action Guide for Governors, on Saturday during the special session of NGA’s 2014 Summer Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee.

The yearlong initiative, called America Works: Education and Training for Tomorrow’s Jobs, has focused on making significant improvements to education systems and workforce training programs and aligning those systems with the needs of business and labor markets.

An Action Guide for Governors describes the four policy components and lays out key elements within each component that governors can use to bring about improvements. The report also provides examples from states that illustrate best practices and offers guiding questions for state policymakers to help set priorities.
