OKLAHOMA CITY –

If you don’t want to travel far this holiday weekend, Oklahoma Craft Brewers Association has a way you can stamp a passport without leaving the state.

The Oklahoma Craft Beer trail passport is a digital passport where users can check in to participating breweries across the state.

It provides a way for beer fans to explore the growing Oklahoma brewery scene.

By signing up for the passport and visiting taprooms along the trail, users can earn prizes.

It requires a one-time setup to capture the user’s information. After that, users can start checking in at each of the 51 participating breweries once they are within .2 miles of it.

Jake Keyes, owner and brewer of Skydance Brewing said he thinks this will be a great thing for the brewing industry.

“Craft beer is new to a lot of people in Oklahoma City, and in Oklahoma,” he says, “This is really going to help bring awareness to craft beer for people, maybe invite them more to come to breweries and check out new stuff. Try something new.”

Brewers will benefit from this passport too.

It will drive traffic to their breweries and they’ll receive data about customers that they wouldn’t otherwise have access to.

And for a full list of participating breweries, as well as how you can get the passport you can click here.
