OKEMAH, Okla. (AP) – Oklahoma authorities have arrested a man who they say fatally shot his wife.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says Michael Magness called police on March 15 to say he found his wife dead inside of their Okemah home. Authorities initially ruled the shooting death of Elizabeth Magness suspicious but didn’t immediately name a suspect.

The OSBI announced the arrest on Monday after investigators asked Michael Magness to come to the Okemah Police Department to discuss the case. The agency didn’t say what linked him to the killing.

Authorities say he is being held at the Okfuskee County jail and faces first-degree murder and child pornography possession charges.

It is unclear when he will be formally charged or if he has an attorney.
