Officials investigating death in Oklahoma County jail

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Authorities are investigating after an inmate died while in custody of the Oklahoma County jail.

Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Mark Opgrande says the inmate was found unresponsive in a cell on Monday night. The inmate was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Authorities have not yet released the name of the inmate, and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is looking into the death.

No cause of death has been released yet.
