ODOT announces construction projects through holiday

Statewide 

SH-51 narrowed near SH-48, Creek Co.

SH-51 is narrowed to one lane with temporary traffic signals near the SH-48 junction west of Mannford for resurfacing. Expect delays in this area.

SH-51 and US-177 narrowed in Stillwater, Payne Co.

US-177 (Perkins Rd.) is narrowed to one lane in each direction between S 3rd Street and S 9th Street & SH-51 (Sixth St.) is narrowed to one lane in each direction between S. Arrington Dr. & S. Lewis St. in Stillwater for bridge and intersection reconstruction.  All lanes will be opened to traffic on home football game days starting at 4 p.m. the day before and continuing until 4 p.m. the day after.

I-35 narrowed south of US-177 near Braman, Kay Co.

I-35 is narrowed to one lane in each direction at W. Braman Rd./W. Bender Rd. (mm 230) at Braman just south of US-177 for bridge reconstruction.

I-35 narrowed near Perry, Noble Co.

I-35 is narrowed to one lane in each direction about one mile south of US-77 (near mm 183) near Perry for bridge replacement.

I-35 narrowed near US-77 in Purcell, McClain Co.

I-35 is narrowed to one lane in each direction one mile south of the US-77/Purcell exit (near mm 95) on the north side of Purcell for bridge rehabilitation.

I-35 narrowed near SH-19 in Pauls Valley, Garvin Co.

I-35 is narrowed to one lane in each direction one mile south of SH-19 (near mm 72) in Pauls Valley for bridge rehabilitation.

I-35 narrowed at SH-17A near Wynnewood, Garvin Co. 

I-35 is narrowed to one lane in each direction at SH-17A (mm 64) and SH-17A is closed over I-35 near Wynnewood for bridge rehabilitation.

I-40 narrowed near Elk City, Beckham Co.

I-40 is narrowed to one lane in each direction between SH-34 South (mm 32) and E. 7th St. (mm 40) near Elk City for a resurfacing and bridge rehabilitation project.

I-40 lanes shifted near Shawnee, Pottawatomie Co.

East and westbound I-40 lanes are shifted just west of US-177/US-270 (mm 181) near Shawnee for bridge reconstruction.

I-40 narrowed near Okemah, Okfuskee Co.

I-40 is narrowed to one lane in each direction at SH-48 (mm 217) and SH-48 is closed over I-40 west of Okemah for bridge replacement.

I-40 narrowed near Henryetta, Okmulgee Co. 

I-40 narrowed to one lane in each direction three miles east of US-75/US-62 (mm 243) near Henryetta for bridge maintenance.

SH-11 closed west of Medford,  in Grant Co.

SH-11 is closed and detoured three miles and also six miles west of US-81 near Medford for bridge construction and roadway work.

SH-33 lanes shifted in Guthrie, Logan Co.

Drivers should be alert to traffic shifts on SH-33 at Cottonwood Creek in Guthrie for bridge reconstruction.

SH-9 narrowed near Keota, Haskell Co.

SH-9 is narrowed to one lane with a temporary traffic signal at San Bois Creek, just west of SH-26, near Keota for bridge rehabilitation.

US-69 narrowed at Wade Watts Ave./Comanche Ave. in McAlester, Pittsburg Co.

Southbound US-69 is narrowed to one lane at Wade Watts Ave./near Comanche Ave. in McAlester for interchange reconstruction.

SH-51 narrowed near Tahlequah, Cherokee Co.

SH-51 is narrowed at Pecan Creek 6 miles east of SH-80 near Tahlequah for bridge rehabilitation.

SH-51 narrowed near Hulbert, Cherokee Co.

SH-51 is narrowed at Fourteen Mile Creek 5 miles east of the Wagoner County line near Hulbert for bridge rehabilitation.

US-70 is narrowed near Bokchito, Bryan Co.

US-70 is narrowed to one lane with temporary traffic signals over Rock Creek near Bokchito, east of Durant for bridge rehabilitation.

SH-78 closed at Chuckwa Creek in Durant, Bryan Co.

SH-78 is closed to through traffic over Chuckwa Creek in Durant for bridge rehabilitation. A local detour is in place.

SH-32 closed at Buncombe Creek, west of Kingston, Marshall Co. 

SH-32 is closed to through traffic at Buncombe Creek west of Kingston for bridge reconstruction. A detour is in place.

US-77 narrowed at Clouds Branch Creek in Love Co.

US-77 is narrowed to one lane with temporary traffic signals at Clouds Branch Creek approximately four miles south of Marietta for bridge reconstruction.

US-270 narrowed near Seiling, Dewey Co.  

US-270 is narrowed to one lane in each direction approximately two miles southeast of Seiling and extending four miles for pavement reconstruction.

SH-152 closed at Trail Creek, Washita Co.

SH-152 is closed and detoured at Trail Creek, approximately four miles east of the Beckham county line for bridge reconstruction.

SH-152 narrowed east of SH-6, Beckham/Washita Co.

SH-152 is narrowed to one lane with traffic signals and flagging operations in place approximately four miles east of the SH-6 junction near the Beckham/Washita County line for bridge rehabilitation.

US-183 narrowed near SH-47, Dewey Co.

US-183 is narrowed to one lane with flagging operations in place just south of the SH-47 junction and extending north near Putnam for resurfacing.

SH-47 narrowed near US-183, Custer Co.

SH-47 is narrowed to one lane with flagging operations in place from US-183 to near Thomas for resurfacing.

SH-30 narrowed near US-62, Harmon Co.

SH-30 is narrowed to one lane with a pilot car leading traffic from US-62 north to near Hollis for resurfacing.

SH-8 narrowed near Burlington, Alfalfa Co.

SH-8 is narrowed to one lane with temporary traffic signals at Dirtwood Creek, approximately one mile north of SH-11 near Burlington for bridge work.

OKLAHOMA CITY METRO

I-235 shifted at N. 36th St.

North and southbound I-235 is shifted to the west between the I-44 interchange and N. 36th St. The speed limit is reduced in this area. Motorists should use SH-74 (Lake Hefner Parkway), I-44, I-35, I-40 and Lincoln Blvd. when possible as alternate routes and allow additional time while driving in this area.

Drivers also can expect the following closures:

  • The N. 50th St. bridge over I-235
  • The southbound I-235 on-ramp from N. 50th St. is closed

 I-240 narrows near Santa Fe Ave.; Shields Blvd., S.E. 82nd St. ramps closed

Drivers can expect the following lane and ramp closures as part of the next phase of I-35/I-240 Crossroads interchange reconstruction:

  • Eastbound I-240 is narrowed to two lanes between Santa Fe Ave. (mm 3A) and I-35 (mm 4A)
  • The southbound I-35 off-ramp to S.E. 82nd St. is permanently closed. Drivers should use the I-35 off-ramp to S.E. 89th St.
  • The eastbound I-240 on-ramp from Shields Blvd. is permanently closed. Drivers should use the on-ramp at Santa Fe Ave.
  • The eastbound I-240 Service Rd. (S.E. 74th St.) is narrowed to one lane between Shields Blvd. and S.E. 82nd St. until further notice

I-44 shoulders closed at N.W. 36th St. through September; N.W. 36th St. bridge closed

The shoulders on east and westbound I-44 (runs north and south) are closed intermittently between N.W. 10th St. (mm 121) and N.W. 36th St. (mm 123A) for bridge rehabilitation projects at N.W. 23rd St. and N.W. 36th St. The following bridge closures also are scheduled:

  • The N.W. 36th St. bridge over I-44 is closed through fall 2017. Use an alternate route.
  • The N.W. 23rd St. bridge over I-44 will have intermittent closures starting the end of September.

 S.W. 3rd St. closed at Shields/E.K. Gaylord until further notice

S.W. 3rd St. remains closed at the E.K. Gaylord Blvd. intersection until further notice for ongoing OKC Boulevard work.

Lindsey St. lanes in Norman shifted, street closed

Drivers can expect lane shifts, narrowed lanes and flaggers on Lindsey St. between 24th Ave. S.W. and Berry Rd. for an ongoing City of Norman project. For more information, contact the City of Norman at 405-366-5396.

  • Berry Rd. is closed to through traffic on the south side of the intersection with Lindsey St.
  • Wylie Rd. is closed to through traffic on the south side of the intersection with Lindsey St.

 I-40 narrows at Reno Ave. nightly, Scott St. bridge closed

Drivers can expect various lane closures on east and westbound I-40 at Reno Ave./Scott St. (mm 154) from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly through fall 2017 for bridge rehabilitation. The Scott St. bridge over I-40 is closed through fall and traffic must locate an alternate route.

Tulsa Metro 

I-44/145th E. Ave. bridge project

Be alert to traffic shifts on east and westbound I-44 at 145th E. Ave. in Tulsa for a bridge and widening project.

I-44, I-244 lane, ramp closures at western split

As part of a bridge rehabilitation project, significant delays can be expected, especially during peak travel times:

  • The left lane of westbound I-44 is closed from near 33rd W. Ave. to the western I-244 split until further notice.
  • The left lane of eastbound I-244 is closed under I-44 (western split) until further notice.
  • The westbound I-44 off-ramp to eastbound I-244 is closed through mid-fall 2017. Drivers will be directed to use US-75 as a detour during this time.
  • All lanes of 38th W. Ave. are closed under I-44 until further notice.

I-244 bridge project between Harvard Ave. and Memorial Dr.

As part of a bridge rehabilitation project, delays can be expected in the following areas:

  • North and southbound Memorial Dr., Yale Ave. and Harvard Ave. are each narrowed to one lane in each direction over I-244 until further notice. Drivers should plan ahead for extra travel time in this area or seek an alternate route.
  • The shoulders along westbound I-244 at Memorial Dr. are closed until further notice.
  • The right lane and outside shoulder of east and westbound I-244 are closed between Harvard Ave. and Yale Ave. through Friday afternoon.

US-75/US-64/SH-51 ramps closed on Inner Dispersal Loop

The following ramps are closed at the southeast corner of the Inner Dispersal Loop until further notice:

  • The southbound US-75 off-ramp to southbound US-75/westbound US-64/SH-51; use I-244 on the north and west legs of the Inner Dispersal Loop as a detour.
  • The Cincinnati Ave. bridge over US-75/US-64/SH-51
  • Drivers should plan ahead for delays on the IDL, especially during peak travel times.

US-412 narrowed near Inola, Rogers Co.

US-412 is narrowed to one ane in each direction at the Verdigris River west of Inola for an bridge rehabilitation.

US-75 narrowed over North Duck Creek  

US-75 is narrowed to one lane in each direction over North Duck Creek (five miles south of the US-75/SH-67 junction) for bridge replacement.
