October 1, 1942 — July 18, 2025

Thomas Clinon Singleton left this world and many who loved him behind on July 18, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He lived a long full life that began on October 1, 1942. He was born to Tim and Ruby Ellen (Thompson) Singleton in Bonham, Texas. He spent his childhood in Texas.

In 1968 life brought Thomas to Ponca City, Oklahoma to work for Conoco. In 1961 he joined the ranks of The United States Army to serve his great nation, after some time in active service he transitioned to The National Guard. Thomas spent many years of his life committed to his service, retiring in 1992 from The National Guard. In 2003 he would marry his beloved wife, Linda Jean (Larssen) Singleton in Winfield, Kansas. During his time living in Kansas, he would hold membership at Crossroad’s Church in Wichita, Kansas. In 2014 Thomas and Linda moved back to Ponca City, to settle down.

Thomas was a man of many talents. He was an artist, with a love of oil painting. His painting would bring joy not only to himself, but to anyone who got the pleasure of seeing his creations come to life. He would spend many Sunday afternoons watching the NASCAR race, following his favorite driver’s and looking forward to what the next race would hold. The races were the perfect break from Oklahoma’s hot summer days spent gardening. Thomas tended his garden with care and attentiveness seeing to its every need to keep it alive and flourishing. Thomas had a classic look and enjoyed spending time tending to himself as well to maintain that classic appearance that was his signature style.

Those who are still here will miss Thomas and hold his enduring memory close. He is survived by his wife, Linda Singleton of the home; daughters, Karen Kidder of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Stephanie (Mark) Marazas of Ponca city, Oklahoma; sons, Kristofer (Trisha) Johnson of Newkirk, Oklahoma and Bryan Johnson of Wichita, Kansas; he also leaves behind 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren whom he loved very dearly. Thomas’s journey does not end here. He will get to reunite with those who preceded him in death, his parents, Tim and Ruby Singleton; sons David Singleton and Dennis Johnson, Jr.; his granddaughter, Kendra Barrett, and his sister, Rachel Beauchum.

Thomas will be deeply missed by many. Memories and condolences can be left for the family in the online guest registry on our website, www.gracememorialchapel.net.
