Richard George Culp was born in Enid, Oklahoma on March 31, 1937 to George and Wilhemina (Bill) Culp and passed away on June 17, 2025 at his family home in rural Billings, Oklahoma.
Richard married Karen Jean Durkee Culp on December 7, 1963 at the Billings Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilhemina (Bill) Culp; father, George Culp; and brother, Burt and his wife, KayDonna.
Richard is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Jeff Culp and Doris McAbee; son, Todd Culp and wife, Tresa; daughter, Lori Howry and husband, Tommy; grandchildren, Tate and Trigg Culp, Grace, Brett, and Hartly Howry; and great grandson, Bryden Best.
Richard, a lifelong farmer and rancher, was passionate about hunting and fishing. He served in the Army from 1958-1962 as a military police officer and K-9 trainer.
A funeral will be held at Billings Christian Church at 10 AM on Friday, June 20, 2025. Burial will follow at Billings Union Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 5-7 PM at Billings Christian Church on Thursday, June 19, 2025. Memorial contributions can be made to the Billings Union Cemetery or the Billings Christian Church. We find comfort knowing that his legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
