Rebecca Annette (McGlothin) North, 77, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Ponca City, with Andy Lambel officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ponca City. Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 12:00-7:00 p.m. with family present from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.
Becky was born on January 9, 1948, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to William "Bill" and Bernise "Annette" (Tilley) McGlothin. She grew up in Little Rock and graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1966. She later attended the University of Arkansas, where she graduated in 1970. After graduating college, Becky moved to Ponca City in 1970. She worked numerous places doing secretarial work, but found her love and joy as a secretary at Union Elementary from 2000 until 2016.
Becky was known for her kindness, warm smile, and love for her family. She enjoyed playing Mahjong with friends, shopping and dining, jewelry making, and traveling-especially to Colorado to visit Marsha and Gene. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling them every chance she could get.
She is survived by her children, Audra Brown, and husband Duane, of Oklahoma City, Grant Pouland and wife, Melanie, of Ponca City, Lynn Swenson of Ponca City, grandchildren; Britt Brown and wife Haley, of Midwest City, Madison Bohrofen and husband Jace, of Oklahoma City, Garrett Pouland of Ponca City, Karsen Pouland of Ponca City, Jacob Swenson and fiancé, Sadaya Olmstead of Stillwater, Jack Swenson of Ponca City, and Jimmy Swenson of Ponca City. Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Neal North, and her parents, Bill and Annette McGlothin.
Casket bearers will be Grant Pouland, Duane Brown, Britt Brown, Jacob Swenson, Jack Swenson, and Jimmy Swenson. Honorary casket bearers will include Jace Bohrofen and Joshua Dixey. Becky will be deeply missed by her family and friends but remembered always for her laughter, and boundless love.
