Pharabe 'Ferb' Jane Littlecrow Botone of Red Rock, OK, passed away in Stillwater, OK May 12, 2026, at the age of 89 surrounded by family. She was born on March 22, 1937, to Amos and Francis Kihega Littlecrow in Pawnee, OK. She is an enrolled member of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe and the eldest member of the Elk Clan. Her Indian name is Hodasjimi (Elk Clan Woman). She was the 1956 Otoe-Missouria Tribal princess and 1956 Ponca City Inter-Tribal Club Princess. She had ten brothers and sisters that she grew up with in Red Rock, OK. After graduating from Red Rock High School, she attended Haskell University in Lawrence, KS where she received her bachelor’s degree in business administration. Ferb began her career at Chilocco Indian School as the Administrative Officer in Chilocco Health Center Staff.

She married Moran Bible, Sr. on October 30, 1959, and had 3 children Moran Bible, Jr., Carol Bible, and Dana Bible of the home. After Moran’s passing in October 1970 she married Perry Lee Botone, Sr. on December 4, 1973. They resided in Arkansas City, KS.

Upon retirement she moved from Arkansas City, KS to Red Rock, OK. She began a second career working for the Otoe-Missouria Tribe as the Title VI Senior Citizens Director and later as Librarian for the Ernest Vetter, Jr. Library.

Ferb liked to read, go to pow wows, bingo and loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending Frontier High School basketball games with her friend Georgia Hoffman. She was devoted to family and friends.

She is survived by her three children, Moran Bible, Jr., Dana Bible and Carol Bible and great granddaughter Kal Bible all of Red Rock, OK; her sister Mary Oyebi of Red Rock, OK; several grandchildren Ron Bible, James Bible, Carolee Pratt, Clint Bible, Bill Bible, and Trevor Romero; 31 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Amos Littlecrow Sr. and Frances Kihega Littlecrow and siblings Robert, Amos Jr., Charles, Jefferson, William, Francis, Emma, Sallie, Sue, grandson Michael “Dokes” Bible, nephew Chadwick “Chad” Arnold.

The funeral service will be held at the Otoe-Missouria Tribe Cultural Building on Friday May 15, 2026, with the tradition meal at noon followed by interment at Otoe-Missouria Tribal Cemetery.
