Peggy Ann Ritchie
December 21, 1942 - January 14, 2026
Peggy Ann Ritchie, age 83, passed away January 14, 2026, at Legacy Village of Stillwater.
Peg was born on December 21, 1942, in Inglewood, California, to Robert Brown Jr and Evelyn Derryberry Brown. She grew up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, graduating from US Grant High School.
She married Don Ritchie on November 17, 1961, at Sunnyside Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. She became a mom to two children, Tanya and Kent. The early years were spent caring for her small family. She was a faithful follower of Christ, and when her husband was called into the ministry, she saw that as her calling as well. She faithfully served beside him as well as working in the church, teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, and, of course, contributing to many potluck dinners. Peg worked as a church secretary, a school secretary, an office manager for a doctor, and a hospital insurance billing clerk. Peg was devoted to her Lord and Savior, her family, every church they served in, and her work. She was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Hendrick Motorsports, Elvis Presley, and dessert.
Survivors include her son, Kent Ritchie and wife Shana, of Perry, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Jess Ritchie and wife Rachel, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Beth Ritchie of Stillwater, Oklahoma; and Coleman Ritchie of Perry, Oklahoma; her sister, Judy Stidham and husband Larry of Washington, Oklahoma, their sons’ Robert and Shane Stidham and their families.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Don, and daughter, Tanya.
Casket Bearers will be Jess Ritchie, Coleman Ritchie, Rob Stidham, Shane Stidham, Bill Spears, and Tim Capehart. Honorary casket bearers are Wayne Edwards and Jax Thompson.
A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 10:00 am at Trout Funeral Home of Perry with Kent Ritchie officiating. A viewing opportunity will be held from 8:00 am - 9:45 am. Peg will be laid to rest at Resthaven Gardens Cemetery in Moore, Oklahoma, at 1:30 pm. All attending the funeral service and/or the internment are invited to wear red in honor of Peg’s great love for this vibrant color.
