Wesley Wayne Keys
March 17, 1971 – August 23, 2021
Wesley Wayne Keys, age 50, of Ponca City, Oklahoma passed away August 23, 2021 at Alliance Health, in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
A celebration of his life will be held on August 26, 2021 at Ponca Tribal Cemetery at 10am with pastor Lewis Headman officiating. Wesley will be laid to rest at Ponca Tribal Cemetery.
Wesley was born on March 19, 1971 in Midwest City, Oklahoma to Isabel Warrior. Wesley worked in maintenance at several construction companies over the years. He could fix anything. He had a vast knowledge in many trades such as automotive, carpentry, plumbing, and roofing . Whatever you needed fixed, he could do it. He loved to hunt and fish, and go noodling. Spending a lot of his younger years in the woods or at the river. His favorite TV show was Two and a Half Men. He was an avid listener to music. He could tell you any artist, song, and the year it came out for any rock genre. He was a huge OU fan. He was the proud father of four daughters and grandpa of three grandchildren.
Survivors include: his daughters, Sasha Keys, Bethany Todd, Jade’ Lyn Sundeen, and Cassa’ Lyn Sundeen; grandchildren, Ozzy Cameron, Oliver Cortez- Keys, and Kayceston Sundeen; and brother, Jimmie Sherron and wife Sarah Sherron, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Isabel Warrior and brother John Sherron.
Casketbearers will be Daniel Sherron, Caleb Sherron, Luke Sherron, Jason Green, Lonnie Sherron, and Sonny Biggoose.
Honarary casketbearers will be Darrel Clark, Theodore Acey Redleaf, Randy Williamson, Tom Williamson, and John Withey.
Viewing will be at the cultural center tomorrow afternoon (Wednesday August 25th) dinner at 5pm and evening prayer service at 8pm. Breakfast and viewing will be Thursday morning ( August 26) 8am followed by graveside at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like any donations to be sent to: Ponca Tribal Center.
