Wanda Geiger Huffman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, died Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City at the age of 97 years.

Wanda Geiger Huffman was born on October 1, 1924, in Blackwell to Walter John and Helen Gould (Goodrich) Geiger. She grew up in Blackwell and attended Blackwell Public Schools graduating in 1942.She married Walter Earl Huffman on December 30, 1944, and they settled in various communities where he was stationed in the United States Army. She served her family as a homemaker as well as working at the Draft Board and Cessna Aircraft. She also worked for the Department of Forestry at Oklahoma A & M and Ford Motor Company. In 1973 she joined her husband in forming and operating Huffman Engineering in Oklahoma City where she served the company as secretary-treasurer. Her husband preceded her in death on October 21, 2013, and she continued to make Oklahoma City her home residing with her daughter and son-in-law. She was active in her daughter, Carol’s activities, including Blue Bird and Camp Fire Leader and P.T.A. She was a member of the Oklahoma Society of Professional Engineers Auxiliary. She enjoyed watching golf and cheering for the Green Bay Packers, the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Later in life she enjoyed traveling the globe and being with family, especially at family reunions. A daily venture was to monitor business news and the stock market.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Huffman Wright and husband William of Oklahoma City; a sister, Evelyn Ortloff and husband Gerald of Aurora, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Maxine Heldenbrand.

A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 23rd in the Greenlawn Abbey Mausoleum in the Blackwell Cemetery with James W. Roberts officiating. Entombment will take place in the mausoleum.

Honorary casketbearers will be Richard Kelly Heldenbrand, Robert Kent Heldenbrand, Rebecca Kay Williams, Gerald Ortloff, Cathy Anne Ortloff and Orville Barkley.

A memorial has been established in her honor with the First Christian Church in Blackwell in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
