Obituary for Tony Dunham

Ponca City Now - December 13, 2014 12:00 am

Our beloved, Tony Charles Dunham, resident of Ponca City, went home to be with his Savior on December 10, 2014, at the age of 59. He passed away at his home surrounded by family and loved ones.

Tony was born in Wichita, KS on June 20, 1955 to Charles and Coleen Dunham. The family moved back to Red Rock, OK in 1959 where he attended and graduated from Red Rock High School in 1973. After graduation, he attended Central State College in Edmond, OK. He was also a member of the Red Rock First Baptist Church. Tony married in 1975 and was blessed with two daughters, Kaley and Bethany. Tony owned his own business, North Central Seal, for many years before discovering an interest in livestock. Raising cattle and helping his daughters participate in 4-H and livestock shows led to his new co-owned business, Frontier Feed. Tony had a true passion for assisting the elderly, and his most recent career allowed him to do just that. He loved his work, and the elders he met over the years could not say enough good things about him as he was always willing to lend a hand or just sit and chat. He loved watching Frontier High School basketball, where his daughters played, St. Louis Cardinal baseball, OU Sooner sports, Thunder basketball and NASCAR.

Tony is survived by two daughters Kaley Warren and her husband, Steve, of Piedmont, and Bethany Nave and her husband, Bradon, of Piedmont; two grandchildren Brennon and Blaike Nave, of Piedmont; one sister, Pam Regnier and her husband, Larry, of Ponca City; loving companion Glenda Lockhart, of Ponca City; numerous nephews and nieces; other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Coleen and father Charles.

Viewing begins Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 8 am to 9 p.m. and on Sunday 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, December 15, 2014, at Grace Memorial Chapel in Ponca City, OK.
