Timothy Allen Massey

June 29, 1982 – June 14, 2019

Timothy “Tim” Allen Massey, 36, passed away on Friday, June 14th, 2019 in Oklahoma City surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 29th, 1982 to parents; Ernest Allen and Alice S (Reed) Massey in Ponca City.

A Celebration of Tim’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 22nd, at the First Baptist Church in Burbank starting at 1pm with Pastor Dennis Wildman presiding.

Growing up Tim was a true boy, always into mischief and able to get into trouble with the simplest of things. Even trying to stay out of trouble seemed to get Tim into trouble. When Tim was five years old he wanted to ride a calf at the rodeo so badly that he convinced his dad to say he was six so he could. His ride didn’t last long before he was bucked off and they were both in trouble with mom.

Tim will be fondly remembered for his joking around, contagious laugh, bright smile that lite up rooms with his pearly white teeth, the gleam that was in his eyes and true love for living life. He enjoyed being outdoors. It didn’t matter to Tim if he was hunting, fishing, camping, riding horses or working as a cowboy, if he was outside he was having fun. Just a couple of years ago he got to spend some wonderful time at the lake with his family. It was while he and his brother, Dustin, were in the boat that they were able to share a rare special time of brotherly bonding that meant a lot to them both. Tim loved time with family, specially his children; Natalie and Lane, who held a very special place in his heart.

Left to morn Tim’s passing are his children; Natalie Renae Massey and Lane Allen Massey, parents; Ernest and step-mom, Debbie Massey and Alice Massey and step-dad Ray Havens, brothers; Jackie Raymond Reed, Dustin Wayne and wife Alisa Massey and step brother Shane Callaway, grandparents; Jack and Bonnie Sue Reed, Tom Anderson, Alberta Shaffer and Donna Chadwell as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Tim is preceded in death by his son; Laiden Massey and grandparents; Mary Massey, Bob Massey and Joe Shaffer.

Tim’s cremation is under the care of Grace Memorial Chapel, Ponca City, OK. Condolence messages may be left for the family online at www.gracememorialchapel.net.
