But he was more than fun, more than funny. He was incredibly kind and a pillar of support for friends and family alike. Whenever someone needed a helping hand, Thomas was there without hesitation. His generosity knew no bounds, and his willingness to go the extra mile for others left a lasting impact on his family, friends, and the community he cherished.

He was born January 4, 1960 to his biological parents, Daniel (Boots) McGlaslin and Dinah Ely. He was adopted by Rev. John and Claudette Morris at two days old in Pawnee, Oklahoma.

He attended elementary school in Eagle Butte, South Dakota. In his younger years, he was a proud Cub Scout with many badges and honors. He attended Chilocco Indian School, but graduated from Red Rock High School as a Red Rock Rocket. He was an avid basketball player throughout his high school career. After graduating, he attended Okmulgee Tech (OSUIT), where he met his wife, Sylvia St. John. They had one daughter, Claudetta Joyce.
