Thelma was born on December 21, 1922, in Burbank, OK. Thelma was the 9th of 11 children born to Leonard and Pearl Struble. Thelma married Loyd “Cash” Larimer on December 28, 1938. Thelma and Cash were the parents of two boys, Dwight and Ronald, and finally the girl Thelma always desired, Joyce Darlene. Cash was a local businessman in Ponca City and Thelma owned and operated The Modern Beauty Shop for over 30 years. Thelma operated her salon in her home so she would always be there for her children.

Thelma was a member of the First Christian Church in Ponca City. She worked hard all her life to help provide for her family. Thelma was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Thelma had a generous heart, always thinking of others. Thelma had a heart of gold, but fired with sass and feistiness. Thelma had a genuine caring for people and had hilarious anecdotal stories. Thelma enjoyed “playing the slots” and her favorite card game was pitch. Her homemade chicken and noodles, homemade bread, and cinnamon rolls were delicious. She will be forever missed, another piece of life gone forever, but will live in our hearts forever.
