Sharon Sue Adams of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died early Wednesday morning, August 21, 2019, in the Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City at the age of 71 years.

Sharon Sue Adams was born on July 6, 1948, in Blackwell to John Richard and Freda Lorene (Alexander) Campbell Sr. She grew up in Blackwell and graduated from Blackwell High School in 1966. She married Kenny Boyer in 1967 and they settled in Blackwell where she served her family as a homemaker. She later operated a child care service from her home for several years. On April 16, 1976, she married Butch Adams in Blackwell and she continued in child care. After a few years, she began working as a para-professional for the Blackwell Public Schools in the special education department in the elementary schools and retired after nineteen years. She enjoyed playing bingo and family activities, especially those that involved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Butch Adams of Blackwell; two sons, Todd Boyer of Shawnee, and Jeff Boyer of Blackwell; two daughters, Vanessa Simpson and Angie Beal, both of Blackwell; a sister, Linda Beard of Blackwell; two brothers, John Campbell Jr. of Blackwell and Rick Campbell of Blackwell; twelve grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 31st in the First Christian Church in Blackwell with Rev. Mark Meador officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in her honor for the Blackwell Elementary Special Education Department in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
